Pineappl

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

This policy explains how Pineappl (“we”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our websites and product at getpineappl.com. It is the privacy policy for Pineappl the product — not a generic template.

Who we are

Pineappl is a hosted service for putting software on a link so a team can open the same live page. For account data (sign-in, billing identity, support mail), we are the controller. For content you put in apps you publish or share, we process that content to provide the service you asked for. Privacy questions: support@getpineappl.com.

Information we collect

Account information: email, name, and profile photo if you sign in with Google; email and password if you sign in with email.

App content: the apps you publish, data people enter in those apps, invites, roles, and files or connections you attach so the app can run.

Usage information: pages viewed, actions in the product, device and browser type, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP. We use this to operate, secure, and improve the service.

Support: messages you send to us, including support@getpineappl.com.

Google user data

If you continue with Google, we receive your Google email, name, and profile photo to create and authenticate your Pineappl account.

If you connect Google Sheets to an app you own, we access only the spreadsheet you choose, with the permission you grant, so that app can read or update cells as you configured. Tokens for that connection are stored encrypted. We do not put them in your app source.

Pineappl’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use Google user data only to provide or improve features you see in the product. We do not sell it. We do not use it for ads, retargeting, or credit decisions. We do not use Google user data, including Google Workspace data, to develop, improve, or train non-personalized AI or ML models. We do not let humans read your Google user data unless you ask us to for support, or we are required to by law.

How we use information

We use information to provide the service (contract): accounts, apps, sharing, invites, and support. We use it to keep the service secure and to understand product usage (legitimate interests). Where a law requires consent (some cookies, optional connections), we rely on that consent. You can withdraw consent by disconnecting an integration or emailing support@getpineappl.com.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage that are required to sign you in and keep the service working. We may also use analytics cookies to see how the product is used. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser; sign-in may stop working if you block required cookies.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context advertising. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the CCPA/CPRA.

We share information with service providers who help us run Pineappl — hosting, data storage, email, analytics, security checks, and infrastructure your apps need to run — and only as needed for that work. They may not use it for their own marketing. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the service or other people, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, with this policy still applying.

International transfers

We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA, UK, or similar regions, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Security

We use HTTPS in transit, restrict access to production systems, and encrypt sensitive connection credentials at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and app data while your account is open and as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal duties. You can delete apps you own in the product. To close your account and delete personal data we hold, email support@getpineappl.com. We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Backups fall out of rotation on a normal cycle.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Email support@getpineappl.com to exercise these rights. We may need to verify it is you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Children

Pineappl is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you think we have, email support@getpineappl.com and we will delete it.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change. The date above is the latest revision. If we use Google user data in a new way, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required before that new use.
