Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and Pineappl for use of our websites and product at getpineappl.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you can bind that organization. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
The Service
Pineappl lets you put software on a link so people you share with open the same live page. Features, limits, and plans are described in the product and on our pricing page. We may change, throttle, or discontinue features. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Accounts
You need an account to publish. You must be at least 16. Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Email support@getpineappl.com if you think it was used without your permission.
Your content
You own the apps and data you put in the Service. You grant us a license to host, copy, display, and process that content only as needed to run the Service for you and for people you share with. You represent that you have the rights to that content and that sharing it does not violate anyone else’s rights or the law.
Sharing
When you share a link or invite someone, they get the access you choose (for example view or edit). You are responsible for who you invite and for the access you grant. If you share an app, people who open it may see and, if you allow, change the data in it.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, harm people, or interfere with the Service. That includes malware, scraping or overloading our systems, trying to bypass access controls, sending spam, publishing others’ private data without permission, or using the Service to attack other systems. We may rate-limit, suspend, or remove content or accounts that threaten the Service or other users.
Third-party services
You may sign in with Google or connect other tools you already use (for example a spreadsheet). Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them. Disconnect a connection in the product if you want us to stop using it for that app.
Plans and payment
Some features are free; paid plans, if offered, are priced as shown at signup or on our pricing page. Fees are per user per month unless we say otherwise. We may change prices with notice for the next billing period. Taxes may apply. Free use can still be capped. We are not required to refund unused time unless the law says so.
Our rights
We own the Service, our name, and our branding. These terms do not give you any rights in them except to use the Service as allowed here. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you.
Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that apps you publish will meet your needs or that data will never be lost.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PINEAPPL WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $100. Some places do not allow these limits; there they apply to the maximum the law allows.
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Pineappl against claims that arise from your content, your use of the Service, or your breaking of these terms, including reasonable legal fees.
Suspension and ending
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or that put the Service or others at risk. After an account is closed, we may delete content on the schedule in our Privacy Policy. Provisions that should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) remain in effect.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top. If a change is material, we will try to notify you (for example by email or in the product). Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
General
These terms are the whole agreement between you and us for the Service. If a part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may assign these terms in connection with a merger or sale of the business. You may not assign them without our consent. They are governed by the laws of the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief anywhere to protect the Service or our rights.
